Description:

International roughness index (IRI) correlates somewhat with human exposure to whole-body vibration in vehicles and thus to perceived ride quality reading for the surface condition on a road segment in the secondary direction.

Comments:

Secondary International Roughness Index By definition[1], IRI is the accumulated suspension (vehicle) stroke in a mathematical quarter car model, divided by the distance traveled by the model during a simulated ride at 80 km/h.
